Heaven at King Edward River (despite) name, Day 62, 28th June

Drysdale Station – Munurra Campsite (King Edward River)

After our long drive the previous day, it was a delight to drive the short 107km to the King Edward River and the Munurra campsite.  I say “a delight” even though the road was heavily corrugated in places, but at least I could see. The campsite was huge with many camping places, and we chose a remote site and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Later in the afternoon, we walked down river and explored some falls, and some interesting cauldron shaped holes created by swirling flood waters and rocks/boulders. We then had a swim as the sun was setting, and the gums and mini-palms along the river lit up. A perfect day!
