The day began with another foray to the shops, which I dubbed “Shopping nightmare II”.  I picked up the meat and it just fitted in the fridge freezer. More grocery shopping (groan), before picking up Rob at the airport.  Our anticipated departure up the Tanimi was delayed due to the non-arrival of Rob’s baggage, courtesy of Qantas.

We decided to get out of Alice, and headed back to the Ross River Resort (for the third time in a month).  On the way, we visited the fascinating Corroboree Rock, where Indigenous people from all over the north of Australia used to meet.  After checking in at the resort (just a simple bunkhouse for us), we walked up a nearby hill for the sunset.
