Cooinda – Jabiru

Liked the Yellow Waters cruise so much, I went back for the morning cruise, and was rewarded with photos of (more) crocodiles, buffalo and egrets, an albino buffalo, brolgas, azure kingfisher, night herons, and many more.  Incredibly good value as an add-on the previous cruises, and costing a mere $36 that included breakfast!

Travelled north to Jabiru, and stayed at the delightful Kakadu Resort, with an even nicer swimming pool.

[Realized I have actually been “on the road” from Melbourne for almost 80 days, and I am looking forward to a break from this kind of travelling.]

For the technically minded: 100-400mm at 400mm, handheld from the front of a grounded boat, 1/160s at F8, ISO 3200. Yes, all slightly weird but it worked .. could have opened up to f4 and got ISO lower. LR saved the day!
