Day 27/Trip 2018 (Thursday, 14th June 2018)

Gnarlaroo – Coral Bay (336kms)

Got up early to fish, and was rewarded with a 20cm tailor (taylor), which some other campers showed me how to fillet.  Packed and away, retracing our steps to highway 1, just north of Carnarvon, with another visit to the Quobba Point blowholes en route.  Stopped at Miliya Roadhouse for fuel, where a French lass was serving. Arrived late in Coral Bay – again – and set up tent etc. Sent Duncan off for a swim, while I assisted Robert in the preparation of a sensational fish pad thai, using the super fresh fish I had caught that morning.  Caravan park was very busy, and well laid out with good facilities.

Quobba Point, again!

A choice of sesame oils

Robert Harper Not even Thai kitchens would have a choice of two types of sesame oils. The fresh lime wedges, red chilli, coriander, crushed peanuts and crisp Margaret River Verdelo served, wait for it, in a wine goblet made the meal extra special. “Roughing it” is a waste of opportunity.
